Comments for Making of Project: Starfighter (3)
Blob-GamerJanuary 13th, 2009 at 23:30Steve, I understand your thoughts on creating a sequel to this game, If you want to create a sequel to it, Why don't you spend part of your free time creating it? if so then I have an idea for a name for it! project: Starfighter WEAPCO's revenge? and try to place the story in the same timeline as Chris, Sid, Pheobe and Ursala? I was hoping for a sequel anyway. PSF GamerMarch 6th, 2010 at 05:59That name from Blob-Gamer is quiete good, anyway. On my machine, with vanilla source code (no Debian Unstable package because copyright infringement) I have a speeded-up game.
Unfortunally the recent packages 1.1-6 from Debian website didn't compile. :(
Here is the bug: ------------------------------------ code/game.cpp: In function ‘int mainGameLoop()’: code/game.cpp:281: error: expected primary-expression before ‘?’ token code/game.cpp:281: error: expected primary-expression before ‘?’ token code/game.cpp:281: error: expected ‘:’ before ‘)’ token code/game.cpp:281: error: expected primary-expression before ‘)’ token code/game.cpp:281: error: expected ‘:’ before ‘)’ token code/game.cpp:281: error: expected primary-expression before ‘)’ token ------------------------------------ That line goes: ------------------------------------ SDL_Delay(frameLimit + 16 - SDL_GetTicks() >? 0 <? 16); ------------------------------------
Any ideas of fixing it?
Keep up the good work. :)
Roland SteveMarch 6th, 2010 at 09:02The original line is:
SDL_Delay(16);
It looks like they've tried to make the delay more dynamic, based on how long the previous frame took. Might be wise to file a bug report with Debian, if it doesn't compile.
